Alternative Vehicle Program Delivery Driver

Belmont Service Company is an independent pick-up and delivery service provider for FedEx Ground, and is looking to hire additional help to deliver small packages to Salisbury to Albemarle residents in their own personal vehicle. Drivers will be paid per delivery. Approved vehicles include sedans, station wagons, SUVs, minivans and pick-up trucks (with a covered and secure bed) that are no older than 15 years and have no significant cosmetic damage. You must be 21 years of age. Also, you must show proof of insurance and vehicle registration.
 

This job is great for individuals who have 5-6 hours of availability during the day, want to get out of the house, paid for exercise and could use some extra money! This is a great alternative or additional source of income for those working DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats, etc.

Drivers will be paid $2.50 per delivery and $.25 per mile with the expectation that you can complete 15-20 deliveries per hour. The most efficient drivers will make the most money and can make up to $40 per hour.
 

Key qualifications

• All applicants must be at least 21, have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check.
• Drivers must have no more than 2 citations or traffic violations on their motor vehicle record in the past 3 years. -No commercial driving experience is required.
• Reliability, strong work ethic, results driven, commitment to excellence, problem solving, time management skills, patience, customer focus.
• Shifts run from 8:30 or 9:30 am and are expected to be 5-6 hours long. Drivers may pick up additional packages after their deliveries
   

Required Technical Skills

• Use your personal smartphone with GPS
• Use a scanner, provided by us, to log deliveries

Shifts will begin early November and continue until just after December 31.

Vehicle must be insured and registered in your name

Vehicle must be 2009 or newer and in decent conditions (no major cosmetic issues)
